BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 11. Iran's non-oil exports to Turkmenistan grew by 17.3 percent in value and 3.3 percent in weight during the first two months of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through May 21, 2025), compared to the same period last year (from March 20 through May 20, 2024).
Data obtained by Trend from the country's Customs Administration indicates that Iran exported nearly $82.4 million worth of non-oil products during this period, totaling around 250,000 tons, to Turkmenistan.
In comparison, Iran's non-oil exports to Turkmenistan during the same period in 2024 amounted to approximately $70.2 million, with a weight of 242,000 tons.
The data also indicates that the main exports included agricultural and food products, industrial goods, transformers, air conditioners, petrochemical products, and more.
In total, the non-oil trade turnover between Iran and Turkmenistan in the first two months of the current year reached approximately $83.4 million in value and about 251,000 tons in weight. This represents a 13 percent increase in value and a 2.44 percent rise in weight compared to the same period last year.
Moreover, the report from Iran's Customs Administration reveals that Iran's total non-oil exports during the first two months of the current year amounted to $8.24 billion in value and 24.6 million tons in weight. While the value of non-oil exports slightly decreased by 0.11 percent compared to last year, the weight of exports saw a notable increase of 4.4 percent.
