Iranians spent $14 billion for foreign trips in 2014.
MortezaRahmani Movahed, the Deputy Head of Tourism in the Iranian Cultural Heritage and Tourism Organization, said that excluding the Hajj pilgrimage, Iranians spent $18 billion for foreign trips during last year.
The World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) assessed the value of Iran's tourism industry for 2014 at about $7.8 billion, Press TV reported in July.
WTTC also forecasted a 6.6 percent increase in Iran's tourism industry in 2015.
There is no official statistics about tourism revenues for 2014, but the Iranian Cultural Heritage and Tourism Organization put the figure at $6 billion for 2013.
