Iran exported 5,689,581 tons of crude oil to Turkey (about 126,056 barrels per day) in eleven months of 2016, the statistics of Turkey’s Energy Market Regulatory indicate.
The reports didn't elaborate on the country's oil imports statistics in the same period of last year, but Turkey was importing about 180,000 b/d of Iranian crude oil before the western countries impose sanctions on Iran in 2012 and the figure plunged to about 105,000 b/d during the sanctions era.
Sanctions on Iran were removed in January 2016.
