Iran has increased coal, oil and gas output significantly during the last fiscal year (ended on March 20).
According to an annual report, released by Iran’s Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade (IMT) July 18, the country increased coal concentrate production by 10.6 percent to 1.232 million tons during the last fiscal year, compared to the previous year.
Iran increased oil and gas production during the last fiscal year as well - by about 1 mb/d to above 4.3 mb/d during the last fiscal year.
According to the IMT’s report, Iran exported 18.663 million tons of gas condensate during the last fiscal year, equals about 0.4 mb/d, during the last fiscal year, which indicate 77.8 percent growth compared to the preceding year.
The value of gas condensate export also increased by 56.4 percent, to $7.31 billion.
Iran also increased gross gas production (including re-injection and flaring) by 25 bcm to 285 billion cubic meters during the last fiscal year.
The report says the country increased gas export also by 67.2 percent to 9.726 million tons. It didn’t elaborate how Iran could increase its gas export, while its solo importer Turkey only increased gas import from Iran slightly according to Turkey’s official statistics.
By the way, the figure might include both methane and ethane. Iran’s propane and butane exports also increased by 12.8 percent to 7.126 million tons, the report said.
The added value of Iran’s oil and gas sector in total increased by 78.8 percent during the last fiscal year, compared to the preceding year.
Iran’s GDP growth reached 8.3 percent during the last fiscal year. The figure was 0.7 percent during the previous year.
