Iran produced 1,902,654 billion rials worth of oil and gas during last fiscal year, the Statistics Center of Iran reported Aug. 11.
Taking account of the average official USD rate in Iran during last fiscal year (ended on March 20) of about 31,139 rials/USD, the value of produced oil and gas stood at $60.6 billion.
The report didn’t mention the production volume, but according to OPEC’s annual report released in July, Iran’s total crude production stood at 3.651 million barrels per day, of which 1.921 mb/d was exported during 2016. Iran also exported $897.9 million worth of petroleum products.
The value of Iran’s oil exports (including gas condensate and oil products) stood at $41.123 billion during 2016. The country also produced 226.9 billion cubic meters of commercial gas in 2016.
The price of oil products and gas in Iran is much lower than in international markets. Iran’s net gas export was near zero during last year.
OPEC estimated Iran’s GDP at $409.823 billion in 2016 with 4.5 percent growth compared to 2015.
The Statistics Center of Iran put the country’s GDP growth at 8.3 percent in the last fiscal year.
