South Pars cumulative gas output has surpassed 1,100 billion cubic meters (bcm) since it became operational in December 2002, Ali Ahmadi, head of Coordination and Monitoring of South Pars Gas Complex, said, according to Iran Oil Ministry's message.
The complex refineries have received 1,100 bcm of natural gas in the period, he said, adding that 891.3 bcm of sweet gas was injected into the national gas grid so far.
During this period, Iran produced 1.508 billion barrels of gas condensate, Ahmadi said.
South Pars Complex refineries have produced 12.679 million tons of ethane, 6.5 million tons of butane and 10.217 million tons of propane as well as 4.308 million tons of sulphur, the official added.
South Pars, located in southern region, is divided into 24 development phases, and contains 40 trillion cubic meters of natural gas.
It covers an area of 9,700 square kilometers, 3,700 square kilometers of which are in Iran's territorial waters in the Persian Gulf. The remaining 6,000 square kilometers are in Qatar's territorial waters.
