TEDPIX, the main index of the Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE), dropped 5,438 points to 1.140 million on Tuesday.
About 5.7 billion shares valued at $994 million changed hands at TSE for the day, Trend reports citing Fars News Agency.
The indices of Persian Gulf Petrochemical Co. had been experiencing a surprisingly rising trend in TSE on Tuesday.
The indices of Mellat Bank, SHASTA Co., Bandar Abbas Oil Refinery, Iran Khodro Group Co., Copper National Industry Co., and Parsian Gas Co., had the most negative impact on TSE.
