TEHRAN, Iran, September 5. The completion of the Shiraz-Bushehr railway project requires over $9.5 billion of credit, Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development of Iran Kheirollah Khademi announced, Trend reports citing Mehr.
The construction of Shiraz-Bushehr-Assaluyeh railway as a part of north-south railway corridor, connects the South Pars region to the country's railway network.
Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development of Iran noted that the completion of the mentioned project, will speed up the transfer of equipment to Assaluyeh.
The ministry is currently managing the construction of the Bushehr-Assaluyeh railway line.
The project involves construction of a 647-km railway line from Shiraz to Bushehr and Assaluyeh. It includes construction of 21 bridges with a total length of 5 km, stations, platforms, 32 tunnels with a length of 22.4 km, access roads, installation of signals and safety systems, and the laying of railway tracks.
