BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 3. Licenses were issued for the operation of 158 industrial plants in Iran's Qom Province during 10 months of the current Iranian year (from March 20, 2024 through January 19, 2025), Javad Nateq, chairman of the Industry, Mine and Trade Organization in the province, told reporters, Trend reports.
He said that circa 100 trillion rials (about $173 million) were spent on commissioning the plants and nearly 7,000 people were employed there.
Nateq also pointed out that 86 of the commissioned plants are new, and 60 trillion rials (about $104 million) were spent on their commissioning and 2,710 people were employed.
The official added that 72 plants have been developed, and 40 trillion rials (about $69.3 million) were spent on them and about 5,200 people were employed there.
To note, totally seven industrial parks with about 2,000 plants and over 57,000 employees operate in Qom Province.
