BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 25. Iran's non-oil exports to Kazakhstan decreased by 44.4 percent in value and 37.4 percent in weight in the first month of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through April 20, 2025), compared to the same month last year (from March 20 through April 19, 2024).
The data obtained by Trend from the Iranian Customs Administration shows that Iran exported 20,900 tons of non-oil products (mainly agricultural and food products, tobacco, petrochemical products, and other goods) worth $8.72 million to Kazakhstan during this period against 33,400 tons worth $15.7 million in the same month last year.
The trade turnover between the two countries in the first month totaled 36,400 tons worth $13.2 million, marking a 30.8 percent decline in value and an 11.5 percent drop in weight compared to the same period last year.
To note, the Iranian Customs Administration data shows that Iran exported 8.95 million tons of non-oil products worth $2.94 billion in the first month overall. This represents a decrease of eight percent in value and 8.3 percent in weight compared to the same month of last year.
