Three public transportation accidents occurred last night in Iran, ILNA cited Head of the Traffic Control Information Center of Iran's Law Enforcement Force of the Islamic Republic of Iran (NAJA), Colonel Nader Rahmani as saying.
He said that an Iveco van overturned on the 18th kilometer of Quchan-Mashhad highway at 04:33 (GMT+3:30). Three people were injured. The incident occurred as a result of excess speed.
Rahmani added that a Mercedes-Benz bus with 25 passengers overturned on the second kilometer of the Abulhayat-Shiraz highway at 05:15. As a result, five people were injured. The incident occurred because a driver lost control of the vehicle.
A Mercedes-Benz bus burst into flame on the 20th kilometer of Ardabil-Mugan highway at 06:20. No one was injured because everyone left the bus in time, he said.
