Georgia’s imports of petroleum and petroleum oils from Kazakhstan from January through December 2021 amounted to $1.3 million, which was 15 times less compared to $19.5 million over 2020, Trend reports via the National Statistics Office (Geostat).
According to Geostat, the amount of the exported petroleum and petroleum oils to Georgia from Kazakhstan in December 2021 alone totaled $240,630, which is a decrease, compared to $1.04 million over the same month of 2020.
Meanwhile, Georgia imported $1.1 million worth of petroleum gases from Kazakhstan over 2021, which is a decrease of 15.3 percent, compared to $1.3 million over the same period of 2020.
Georgia’s imports of petroleum gases from Kazakhstan only in December 2021 amounted to $25,280, which is a decrease compared to $214,700 over the same period of 2020.
Georgia’s total imports of petroleum and petroleum oils in 2021 amounted to $822.5 million – an increase compared to $498.6 million in 2020.
Georgia’s imports of petroleum gases over 2021 totaled $354.5 million, which is an increase of 12.5 percent, compared to $314.9 million in 2020.
