Number of Georgian companies slightly up in Turkey

In January-August 2019, 15 companies with Georgian capital were registered in Turkey, which is four companies more compared to January-August 2018, Trend reports referring to Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB).

The total capital of Georgian companies registered in Turkey in the first eight months of 2019 amounted to 2.575 million Turkish liras, while in the same period of 2018, this figure amounted to 942,000 Turkish liras.

In January-August 2019, most Georgian companies (11 enterprises) were registered in Istanbul with a total capital of 1.559 million Turkish liras.

In total, five industrial, one construction, one financial, and five wholesale and retail companies with Georgian capital were registered in Turkey. The remaining three Georgian companies operate in other sectors of the economy.

According to TOBB, the total capital of five Georgian wholesale and retail companies registered during the reported period amounted to 800,000 liras.
