The total volume of diesel fuel transshipment via the Turkish ports amounted to 2.7 million tons from January through March 2020, Turkey’s Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend on May 1.
During the reporting period, the volume of diesel fuel transshipment by vessels flying the Turkish flag via the Turkish ports amounted to 116,631 tons.
Meanwhile, ships flying the flag of other countries transported over 2.6 million tons of diesel fuel via the Turkish ports.
From January through March 2020, 96,948 tons of diesel fuel were transited through the Turkish ports.
During the reporting period, the volume of cargo carried by ships via Turkish ports amounted to over 94.6 million tons.
The volume of cargo handled by ships flying the Turkish flag amounted to 7.4 million tons from January through March 2020, the ministry said.
The volume of cargo transshipment through Turkish ports by ships flying the flags of their countries amounted to 3.9 million tons, while the cargo transshipment by ships flying the flags of other countries stood at 83.1 million tons from January through March 2020.
Over the reporting period, 18.4 million tons of cargo was transited through the ports of Turkey.
The volume of cargo transshipment through Turkish ports amounted to 32.1 million tons in March 2020.
The volume of cargo handled by ships flying the Turkish flag amounted to over 2.8 million tons in March 2020.
In the reporting month, the volume of cargo transshipment through Turkish ports by ships flying the flags of their countries amounted to 1.3 million tons, while cargo transshipment by ships flying the flags of other countries stood at 27.9 million tons.
Due to the ministry, 5.9 million tons of cargo was transported in transit through the ports of Turkey in March 2020.
