Turkey registered 18 companies with the Uzbek capital from January through March 2021, which is by one company more than in the same period of 2020, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) told Trend on April 23.
During the reporting period, the total capital of Uzbek companies registered in Turkey made up 2.8 million liras ($570,285) compared to 3.8 million liras ($773,959) in the same period of last year.
Meanwhile, most of the Uzbek companies were registered in Istanbul (17 companies) with a total capital of 2.7 million liras ($549,918).
There were one industrial company and one construction company. Seven companies were engaged in wholesale and retail trade.
"The remaining companies with the Uzbek capital operate in other sectors of the economy," TOBB said.
In accordance with the data, the total capital of seven companies registered during the reporting period in the field of wholesale and retail trade amounted to 1.4 million liras ($285,091).
