The number of Turkish citizens visiting Germany for employment purposes surged from January through May 2021, the Turkish Employment Agency (ISKUR) told Trend.
Reportedly, the number of Turkish citizens who visited Germany via ISKUR in the reporting period sharply increased by 58.3 percent compared to the same period of 2020, amounting to 907 people.
In general, 4,683 Turkish citizens traveled abroad through ISKUR from January through May 2021, which is 9.2 percent more than from January through May 2020.
Some 63,545 Turkish citizens were provided with jobs through ISKUR in May.
Some 30.2 percent out of the total number of those employed accounted for women, 69.8 percent - men. At the same time, 99.2 percent of applicants got a job in the private sector.
The number of unemployed in Turkey was 2.9 million in May 2021 (48.2 percent - women, 51.8 percent - men).
