BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 24. Türkiye registered 95 companies with Uzbek capital in 2023, 33 fewer than in 2022, Trend reports, referring to the Turkish Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB).
TOBB data shows that along with a decrease in the number of Uzbek companies registered in Türkiye, their total capital also grew last year.
"While the total capital of Uzbek companies registered in Türkiye amounted to 62.4 million liras ($2 million), the figure for 2022 was 78.1 million liras ($2.59 million)," the union said.
TOBB also mentioned that in 2023, the majority of Uzbek companies were registered in the capital city of Istanbul (82).
"The total capital of Uzbek companies registered in Istanbul amounted to 56 million liras ($1.85 million)," TOBB emphasized.
According to the information, five construction companies, 51 wholesale and retail trading companies, and two tourism companies with Uzbek capital were registered in Türkiye in 2023. The rest of the companies operate in other economic sectors.
