BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 10. Spain transported 11,780,360 tons of cargo to the ports of Türkiye from January through December 2023, Trend reports, referring to Türkiye's Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.
Meanwhile, vessels flying the flag of Türkiye delivered 1,099,730 tons of cargo to the ports from Spain, and vessels under the flags of other countries delivered 9,847,981 tons of cargo to the ports of Turkey.
During this time, 9,902 thousand 902 tons of cargo were delivered by vessels under the flag of Spain to the ports of Türkiye. Spain transported 2,203,934 tons of transit cargo from January through December 2023, to Türkiye's ports.
Türkiye's ports received 29,007,840 tons of cargo in November 2023.
During this period, the cargo traffic to the inland ports by vessels under Türkiye's flag amounted to 2,421,748 tons.
Cargo traffic to Türkiye's ports by vessels under the flags of other countries amounted to 26,586,092 tons.
In addition, Türkiye's ports transferred 4,499,080 tons of transit cargo in November 2023.
The ports of Türkiye received 355,321,803 tons of cargo in from January through November 2023.
" The cargo traffic by vessels under the flag of Türkiye amounted to 26,473,938 tons from January through November 2023. Cargo traffic by vessels under the flags of other countries to the ports of Türkiye amounted to 328,847,865 tons", the Ministry report noted.
The report also says that from January through November 2023, 61,495,202 tons of transit cargoes were transported from the ports of Türkiye.
To note, the ports of Türkiye received 4,309 vessels in November 2023 (under the flags of other countries - 2,911, and under the flag of Türkiye - 1,398).
Türkiye's ports received 55,495 vessels from January through November 2023 (37,749 vessels under the flags of other countries and 17,746 vessels under the flag of Türkiye).
