BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 10. A total of 19 companies with Uzbek capital were registered in Türkiye from January through May 2024, which is 21 less than in the same period of 2023, the statement of Türkiye's Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TOBB) said, Trend reports.
"During the reporting period, the total capital of Uzbek companies registered in Türkiye amounted to 12 million Turkish Liras, in the same period in 2023, this figure amounted to 9.2 million Turkish Liras," the statement of TOBB reads.
The authority also noted that the majority of Uzbek companies were registered in Istanbul (17) from January through May 2024.
"The total capital of Uzbek companies registered in Istanbul amounted to 10.7 million Turkish Liras," the information notes.
According to the information, 5 trading companies with Uzbek capital and 5 companies engaged in scientific and technical activities were registered in Türkiye from January through May 2024. The rest of the companies cover other sectors of the economy.
