BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 25. A total of 187 companies with Iranian capital were registered in Türkiye from January through June 2024, which is almost three times less than in the same period of 2023, the statement of the Turkish Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchange (TOBB) said, Trend reports.
“During the reporting period, the total capital of Iranian companies registered in Türkiye amounted to 228.1 million liras ($6.89 million) compared to 356.86 million liras ($10.78 million) in the same period of 2023,” the statement of TOBB reads.
The authority also noted that from January through June 2024, the majority of Iranian companies were registered in Istanbul (170).
“The total capital of Iranian companies registered in Istanbul amounted to 216.2 million liras ($6.5 million),” the statement from TOBB pointed out.
According to the statement, 84 trading companies with Iranian capital were registered in Türkiye from January through June 2024. The rest of the companies cover other sectors of the economy.
