Turkey to increase project funding by 20 per cent

Today Turkey is working on the implementation of 2700 projects in the country, the Turkish Sabah newspaper reported on Wednesday.

The total cost of these projects is estimated at 400 billion lira. The cost of projects being implemented in Turkey is 184 billion lira.

In addition, in 2013 the Turkish government plans to increase the financing of projects by 20 per cent compared to 2012. This year, the government plans to allocate 46 billion lira for this purpose.

Some 14 billion of the allocated sum will be directed towards the transport sector, eight billion - education, six billion - agriculture and three billion for health services.

The official exchange rate is 1, 7629 TRY / USD on Jan.16.
