To maintain economic activity and attract investors, a qualitative infrastructure is vital, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) told Trend.
The ADB noted that improving the business environment and deepening financial services are important features in increasing the confidence of private investors, adding that Azerbaijan's partners in the development of various industries, including ADB, are supporting priority infrastructure projects and political programs in the country.
“One development partner can actually have a competitive advantage thanks to its stronger experience in a certain area. However, such an advantage doesn’t mean that other international organizations must remain on the sidelines or provide less support,” said the ADB.
“For this reason, partner coordination meetings are regularly held to ensure that each organization can complement each other and not compete in support of specific projects. Moreover, funding a project without sharing experience can solve one problem, but it can arouse other problems,” the Asian bank said.
“This is why ADB deeply appreciates co-financing with other development partners wherever necessary and possible,” added the ADB.
