Export of cars from Turkey to Turkmenistan increased by 17 percent in the first half of 2020 compared to the same period in 2019, having made up $11.3 million, Turkey’s Ministry of Trade told Trend.
In June 2020, Turkey exported cars worth $1.7 million to Turkmenistan, which is 18 percent more than in the same month of last year.
The export of cars from Turkey to the world markets decreased by 29.5 percent from January through June 2020, compared to the same period of 2019, and amounted to $10.8 billion.
According to the ministry, Turkey’s export of cars for the reporting period made up 14.4 percent of the country's total export.
In June 2020, Turkey exported the cars worth over $2 billion to the world markets, which is 7.9 percent more compared to the same month of 2019, the ministry said.
Turkey's export of cars in June 2020 amounted to 15 percent of the country's total export.
Over the past 12 months (from June 2019 through June 2020), Turkey exported the cars worth over $26 billion abroad.
