Azerbaijan, Baku, Jan.23 / Trend , E. Rustamov / The house museum of the outstanding Soviet state figure Nariman Narimanov in Tbilisi will be re-paired. The corresponding intergovernmental agreement was signed between Azerbaijan and Georgia on Jan.23 in Baku.
From the Georgian side, the agreement was signed by the Minister of Culture, Sport and Protection of Monuments Nikoloz Rurua, mayor of Tbilisi Gigi Ugulava and director of contractor company "Apollo" Shota Yevgenidze and from the Azerbaijani side, Minister of Culture and Tourism Abulfaz Garayev.
The house museum of Nariman Narimanov, located in Mirza Shafi Vazekh street, collapsed in December 2008 during the construction work by a foreign company in this street.
Narimanov Nariman Kerbalay Najaf oglu (187-1925) was a outstanding state person, a writer and a member of Bolshevik party since 1905. After the victory of October revolution, Narimanov strived to establish Soviet power in Caucasus. He was the chairman of Azerbaijani Military Revolution Committee in 1920, chairman of Soviet National Commissars of USS Azerbaijan in 1921, Chairman of Soviet Union TSFSR in 1922 and then one of chairmen of the CEC of the USSR.
