BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 3. Chairman of the
Azerbaijani State Committee on Work with Diaspora, Fuad Muradov,
has met with a delegation led by Kamil Salduz, chairman of the Kars
Education and Culture Foundation, Trend reports, citing the committee.
According to information, Muradov welcomed the guests and wished
success to the newly established foundation, noting that the
committee would provide the necessary support for its activities.
He also described the unification of Turkish citizens of
Azerbaijani origin from the Eastern Anatolia region as a
commendable development.
Kamil Salduz expressed gratitude for the warm reception and
noted that the foundation officially began its activities following
an announcement published in Türkiye’s "Official Gazette" on
October 19, 2025. He emphasized that the majority of the
foundation’s founders and trustees are originally from Kars.
Salduz also highlighted that the “Kars Friendship Group,” which
forms the core of the foundation, has already implemented numerous
cultural initiatives. He recalled that, with the support of the
State Committee on Work with Diaspora and Azerbaijan’s Embassy in
Türkiye, large-scale concerts dedicated to May 28 - Independence
Day were held in Ankara and Istanbul in 2023.
