ASTANA, Kazakhstan, January 21. Kazakhstan plans to increase its IT export level to 1 billion dollars by 2026, noted Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Olzhas Bektenov, at a government meeting, Trend reports.
"President Tokayev set the task of increasing the level of IT exports to 1 billion dollars by 2026. Further work on growing the export of IT services and products should focus on developing acceleration programs in the regions and expanding the circle of partner investors. Regional IT hubs and venture funds should become the driving forces," noted Olzhas Bektenov.
The Head of Government also tasked the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations, and Aerospace Industry, in collaboration with local executive bodies, with developing a roadmap to support regional IT hubs, following the example of Astana Hub and the Karaganda Terricon Valley. The Akimats are also instructed to promptly address funding issues for these hubs.
During the government meeting, representatives of IT companies
spoke: Pavel Gorodov, Technical Director of Netcracker Technology's
offices, Yerzat Dulat, CEO of Higgsfield AI, and Roman Lineytsyev,
CEO of Grand Mobile.
At the end of the meeting, Olzhas Bektenov instructed to update the
state support measures for IT companies whose activities are
focused on exporting services and products.
