BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 7. A memorandum of cooperation has been signed between the Committee of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan on International Relations, Foreign Economic Relations, Foreign Investments, and Tourism and the Public Diplomacy Center of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Uzbekistan, Trend reports via Uzbek Senate.
The memorandum provides for the implementation of joint projects and initiatives aimed at developing public diplomacy on a systemic basis, strengthening interethnic harmony and tolerance, and expanding international humanitarian ties.
A "roadmap" was also approved to implement the priority areas of cooperation specified in the memorandum. This document defines the specific directions, measures, and joint actions to be taken by the parties.
As part of the signing ceremony, a presentation of the book "Public Diplomacy – A Joint Step Toward Peace" was held. During the event, participants exchanged views on the role and significance of public diplomacy in modern international relations, highlighting its impact on fostering global cooperation.
