TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, December 6. Uzbekistan's almond exports really took off from January through October this year, hitting the ground running and making quite a splash.
Data obtained by Trend from the country's Statistics Agency shows that this figure amounted to $14.5 million, up 2.2 times compared to 10 months of 2023.
Besides, the total export volume of almonds from Uzbekistan reached 8,300 tons.
The largest volume of almond exports during this period was carried out to Pakistan—1,600 tons. 1,200 tons of almonds were exported to Azerbaijan, 1,100 tons to Russia, 861 tons to Kazakhstan, and 674 tons to Kyrgyzstan.
To note, from January through October 2024, Uzbekistan exported 1.6 million tons of fruits and vegetables worth $1.2 billion. This figure grew by 14.2 percent compared to the same period last year (1.4 million tons).
The export of fruit and vegetable products accounted for 5.5 percent of Uzbekistan's total export volume.
