ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, October 5. Turkmenistan will sign contracts with the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) and the Saudi Fund for Development to finance the construction of cancer hospitals in several regions of the country, Trend reports via Turkmenistan's official media.
According to the information, the contracts will be concluded within the framework of orders signed by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov to implement the state health program “Saglyk”.
Under the decree, two oncology hospitals for 150 beds will be built in the Balkan and Lebap regions with the participation of IsDB, and a hospital for 200 beds will be built in the Mary region, financed by the Saudi Fund.
To note, the implementation of these initiatives will significantly increase the availability of quality diagnostics and treatment of oncological diseases, which will be an important step in advancing the goals of the program to protect the health of citizens.
