BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 10. The number of incoming transactions to commercial banks in Azerbaijan via instant money transfer systems amounted to 211,900 transactions, with a total value of 96.4 million manat ($56.6 million), as of February 1 of this year.

Data obtained by Trend from the country's Central Bank shows that the number of transactions decreased by 71,700 transactions (25.3 percent) in monthly terms, and by 94,100 transactions (30.7 percent) compared to the same period in 2024.

In terms of amount, this figure decreased by 16.9 million manat or $9.9 million (14.9 percent) monthly, and by 70.1 million manat or $41.2 million (42.1 percent) compared to the same month last year.

During the period, the average amount of one payment through the instant money transfer system was 454.8 manat ($267.3), which is 55.3 manat or $32.5 (13.8 percent) more than the previous month, but 89.4 manat or $52.5 (16.4 percent) less than the same period in 2024.

At the same time, as of February 1 of the current year, the number of transfers outside the bank amounted to 83,200 transactions, with a total value of 36.3 million manat ($21.3 million).

In terms of the number of transactions, this indicator decreased by 46,100 transactions (35.6 percent) compared to the previous month, and by 11,200 transactions (11.9 percent) compared to the same period last year.

In terms of amount, this indicator decreased by 9.3 million manat or $5.4 million (20.4 percent) compared to the previous month, and by 5.1 million manat or $3 million (12.3 percent) compared to the same period in the previous year.

The average amount of one transfer outside the bank stood at 436 manat ($255.4), which is 83.6 manat or $49.1 (23.7 percent) more than the previous month, but 2.2 manat or $1.3 (0.5 percent) less than the same period last year.
