BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 26. The volume of loans granted to micro-enterprises in Azerbaijan amounted to 3.2 billion manat ($1.9 billion) as of late June 2025.
The data obtained by Trend from the Central Bank (CBA) shows that this figure grew by 12.4 million manat ($7.3 million) or 0.4 percent compared to the end of May this year (3.19 billion manat or $1.87 billion).
By the end of June this year, the business loan portfolio of Azerbaijani banks amounted to 15.14 billion manat ($8.88 billion).
As of July 1, 2025, the number of micro-enterprise entities operating in the country was 184,400. Micro-enterprises make up 91.4 percent of all commercial organizations nationwide. Most of them operate in the following sectors: “Trade; repair of motor vehicles” (35 percent), “Other service activities” (11.3 percent), “Construction” (9.2 percent), “Professional, scientific, and technical activities” (7.8 percent), and “Agriculture, forestry, and fishing” (6.5 percent).
