Iran exported $33.4 billion worth of non-oil products since the beginning of the current year (March 20, 2020), Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs of Iran Farhad Dejpasand said, Trend reports citing the Tasnim news agency.
He made the remark in a meeting of Iran’s Public-Private Dialogue Council.
The minister noted that however, Iran's non-oil exports were projected to be about $27 billion worth in the current Iranian year (from March 20, 2020, through March 20, 2021).
Dejpasand added that this figure is estimated to reach $35 billion by the end of the current Iranian year.
“Both the entire Iranian economy and the non-oil economy developed during the first 9 months of the current Iranian (from March 20 through December 20, 2020),” he said.
As reported, Iran's foreign trade turnover amounted to 134 million tons worth $65.5 billion over the 11 months of the current Iranian year (March 20, 2020, through February 18, 2021).
So, Iran exported 103 million tons of goods worth $31.2 billion and imported 30.8 million tons worth $34.3 billion within the mentioned period.
The value of Iran's gross domestic product (GDP) amounted to 4.8 quadrillion rials (about $114 billion) in the first nine months. According to stable prices in 2011, Iran's economic growth increased by 2.2 percent compared to last Iranian year. As well as the value of raw materials production, excluding oil, increased by 1.9 percent.
