The Shahid Soleimani Thermal Power Plant in Kerman Province (south-eastern Iran) generated 5.88 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity during the first six months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through September 22, 2021), Managing Director of Kerman Power Generation Management Company Hossein Bahrololoom said, Trend reports citing Iran’s Thermal Power Plant Holding Company.
According to Bahrololoom, 5.79 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity generated electricity have been supplied to Iran's electricity network.
The director added that about 35 percent of the total electricity was generated by steam units, while 65 percent by gas units.
“All units of the Shahid Soleimani TPP are currently operating at maximum, due to the electricity needs of the Iran’s electricity network,” he said.
Reportedly, Iran's Shahid Soleimani TPP has eight gas units, each generating 159 megawatt-hours of electricity, and four steam units, each generating 160 megawatt-hours of electricity. In general, the power plant can generate 1,910 megawatt-hours of electricity.
