Turkmenistan sells slew of raw materials to foreign entrepreneurs

ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, July 17. The State Commodity and Raw Material Exchange of Turkmenistan held trades in foreign currency last week, the total amount of which amounted to approximately $27.3 million, Trend reports.

According to the exchange, entrepreneurs from the UAE and Afghanistan purchased diesel fuel, base oil, produced at the enterprises of the Turkmennebit State Concern.

At the same time, businessmen from Azerbaijan, Türkiye, the UAE and Kyrgyzstan bought sets of bed linen, terry products, cotton yarn, cotton and denim fabric, as well as licorice roots and rhizomes for foreign currency.

A total of 38 transactions were registered at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan last week.

The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan was established on July 29, 1994. It is the most important body of state regulation of export-import operations.
