TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, November 3. Uzbekistan and French Marché International de Rungis discussed the company's participation in the country’s agricultural infrastructure development, Trend reports.
The news followed a meeting between President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Chairman of the company Stéphane Layani on the sidelines of the Uzbek-French business forum held in Uzbekistan’s Samarkand.
During the talks, Mirziyoyev supported the company's plans to build agrologistic complexes in the Samarkand, Andijan and Tashkent regions of Uzbekistan.
Meanwhile, Rungis expressed its readiness to participate in the construction of modern agro logistics centers in Uzbekistan in 2020.
As per the company’s representatives, the new eight agro logistics centers will provide for creation of about 10,000 new jobs.
