BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 27. Azerbaijan's insurance companies collected 70.8 million manat ($41.6 million) for property insurance from January through April 2025.
The data obtained by Trend from the Central Bank of Azerbaijan shows that this figure grew by 4.4 million manat ($2.6 million), or 6.6 percent, compared to the same period in 2024.
At the same time, payments for property insurance amounted to 13.4 million manat ($7.9 million) during the reporting period, which is 3.3 million manat ($1.9 million) or 33.2 percent more than the amount recorded during the first four months of last year.
To note, between the temporal parameters of January and April
2025, the insurance sector in Azerbaijan aggregated a cumulative
premium revenue of 588.5 million manat, equivalent to approximately
$346 million.
This denotes an 8.4 percent escalation relative to the
corresponding timeframe in 2024.
Concurrently, the disbursements from insurance entities reached
231.3 million manat ($136 million) during the initial quadrimester
of 2025, reflecting a 10.4 percent increase on a year-over-year
basis.
