BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 18. A total of 17.13 billion cubic meters of gas were transported via main gas pipelines in Azerbaijan from January through May 2025.
The data obtained by Trend from the State Statistics Committee shows that
this metric experienced a contraction of 1.3 percent on an
annualized basis.
A substantial 54.1 percent of gas conveyance was executed via the
Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum South Caucasus pipeline, facilitating the
transportation of 9.27 billion cubic meters of gas.
Between January and April 2025, the logistics network facilitated
the movement of 4.8 million tons of freight via rail modalities,
2.36 million tons through maritime channels, and 3.5 million tons
utilizing terrestrial routes within the designated transport
corridors.
