Azerbaijan’s natural gas liquids (NGL) production stood at 14,200 barrels per day in 2020, as compared to 13,200 barrels per day in 2019, or 7.6 percent up year-on-year, Trend reports with reference to bp’s Statistical Review of World Energy.
NGL production in Azerbaijan has changed as follows from 2010 to 2018: 13,500 barrels per day in 2010, 13,300 barrels per day in 2011, 10,400 barrels per day in 2012, 11,400 barrels per day in 2013, 12,200 barrels per day in 2014, 10,800 barrels per day in 2015, 11,100 barrels per day in 2016, 11,300 barrels per day in 2017 and 12,300 barrels per day in 2018.
The country’s daily NGL output has increased by 0.6 percent from 2009 to 2019.
Azerbaijan’s oil production stood at 716,000 barrels per day in 2020, as compared to 775,000 barrels per day in 2019, or 7.6 percent down year-on-year. The country’s daily oil output has dropped by 2.8 percent from 2009 to 2019. Crude oil and condensate production in Azerbaijan totaled 702,000 barrels per day in 2020, as compared to 762,000 barrels per day in 2019, down by 7.8 percent year-on-year. The country saw a 2.8 percent decline in crude oil and condensate production from 2009 to 2019.
Azerbaijan’s total proved oil reserves stood at 7 billion barrels or 1 billion tons at the end of 2020. bp estimates that Azerbaijan accounts for 0.4 percent of the world’s total proved oil reserves.
