BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 9. A total of 224 billion cubic meters (bcm) of gas have been produced since the commissioning of the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) field block, located in the Caspian Sea's Azerbaijani sector, until August 1 of this year, Trend reports.
Data from the country's Energy Ministry shows that about 225.5 bcm of gas have been produced from the Shah Deniz field in the reporting period.
Additionally, about 160.7 bcm of gas has been totally exported from ACG and Shah Deniz until August 1.
To note, Azerbaijan totally produced 29.5 billion cubic meters (bcm) of natural gas from January through July 2024, with a year-on-year increase of 1.3 bcm.
Of this volume, 7.7 bcm accounted for ACG, 16.5 bcm - Shah Deniz, 900 million cubic meters - the Absheron field, and 4.4 bcm - the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR).
