BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 18. Over 9.27 billion cubic meters of gas were transmitted through the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum (BTE) South Caucasus Pipeline from January through May 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Statistics Committee indicates
that this shows a drop of 199.3 million cubic meters, or 2.1
percent, when stacked up against the same stretch in 2024 (9.47
billion cubic meters)
All told, a whopping 17.1 billion cubic meters of gas made its way
through the main pipelines during the reporting period, but it
seems we’ve hit a bit of a bump in the road with a 1.3 percent dip
compared to the first five months of 2024. Over half the gas, a
whopping 54.1 percent, made its way through the BTE South Caucasus
Pipeline.
