Azerbaijan will significantly increase its export potential in the field of technology by developing innovative solutions in promising industries, Executive Director of the Azerbaijan Innovation Export Consortium (AZINNEX) Farid Kazimov told Trend on May 17.
According to Kazimov, over 80 percent of state structures of Azerbaijan use the developments of companies being part of AZINNEX and having long-year experience in introducing high technologies into the public administration system. In addition, they have unique expertise in e-government solutions.
"AZINNEX is actively conducting dialogue with various state structures in this direction, including the ministries of transport, communications and high technologies, the economy, the parliament, and other structures. We presented our vision of the systemic development of innovations in many areas to these structures," he said.
By developing innovative solutions in promising industries, Azerbaijan will not only be able to increase the competitiveness of the economy, ensure high management efficiency and high-quality services for citizens but also significantly increase the export potential in the field of technology, the executive director noted.
"We’ll be able to export successful solutions in the future and ensure the growth of state budget revenues. The introduction of technologies should ensure the fulfillment of several tasks, including transparency, management efficiency, financial savings, and capacity building for development," Kazimov further said.
"In present times, innovation is no longer a luxury. Innovation today is a vital tool, without which countries can irreversibly lag behind in their development," he added.
According to him, realizing the importance of innovation, the President of Azerbaijan has identified technology as one of the main tools for the restoration of Karabakh.
"Even on a global scale, this will be a unique experience, and in the future, Azerbaijani practice will be studied by the countries intending to transform not a single administrative territory, but the whole region," concluded the CEO.
