BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 11. Russia's oil production is expected to reach 10.47 million barrels per day (mb/d) in 2025, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA), Trend reports.
The EIA has lowered its forecast for Russia's oil output by 0.1 mb/d compared to the previous month's estimates.
In 2025, Russia's crude oil production is projected to average 10.46 mb/d in the first quarter, slightly decreasing to 10.42 mb/d in the second quarter. Production is expected to recover, reaching 10.44 mb/d in the third quarter and 10.55 mb/d in the fourth quarter.
For 2024, the EIA maintains its projection of 10.53 mb/d for Russia's oil output. Quarterly estimates show production at 10.83 mb/d in the first quarter, decreasing to 10.55 mb/d in the second quarter, and further to 10.34 mb/d in the third quarter. In the final quarter of 2024, output is expected to rise to 10.42 mb/d.
In addition, the EIA reported that Russia's oil production averaged 10.91 mb/d in 2023.
The EIA also forecasts slight growth in Eurasia's total liquids production, from 13.42 mb/d in 2024 to 13.43 mb/d in 2025.
