BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 1. Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan discussed ways to enhance cooperation in the transport sector, Rashad Nabiyev said in a post on his official Facebook page, Trend reports.
“We held a meeting with the delegation led by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Nokerguly Atagulyev. During the discussion, we focused on further developing transport cooperation between our countries and addressed current issues,” Nabiyev wrote.
According to the nation's State Customs Committee, trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan totaled $11.9 million from January through February 2026. This figure represents a sharp decline, falling to $38.5 million, or 4.2 times lower than during the same period last year.
