BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 1. Russia is grateful to the Azerbaijani authorities for their support in delivering humanitarian aid to Iran, Maria Zakharova, the spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, said during a briefing, Trend reports.
Zakharova noted that the second large shipment of medical supplies was handed over on March 27 at Astara, located on the Iran-Azerbaijan border.
“More than 300 tons of medical supplies were delivered to Astara by rail. On the same day, a convoy of trucks carrying nearly 150 tons of humanitarian aid collected by the Republic of Dagestan of Russia also arrived in Astara. We are grateful to the Azerbaijani authorities for their support,” she said.
