BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 2. A joint statement was adopted during the meeting of government heads of Organization of Turkic States (OTS) member countries in Baku, Azerbaijan’s Prime Minister Ali Asadov said during today's session of government heads and vice presidents of OTS member states, Trend reports.

The prime minister noted that the meeting featured important discussions on further expanding cooperation within the OTS, developing economic and trade relations, strengthening joint activities in transportation and energy, and deepening collaboration in other areas.

“The discussions once again demonstrated that the fraternal relations and mutual trust among our countries provide a solid foundation for further development of cooperation within the organization,” Asadov stressed.

He added that the text of the joint statement had undergone thorough coordination with all stakeholders via diplomatic avenues prior to its ratification by vote at the end of the meeting.
