BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, April 2. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission, led by Dmitry Gershenson, has concluded its work in Kyrgyzstan, Trend reports via the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan.
On April 1, 2026, the Chairman of the National Bank of the
Kyrgyz Republic, Almaz Baketaev, convened a concluding session with
the IMF delegation.
In the course of the meeting, stakeholders engaged in a dialogue
regarding pivotal matters, such as monetary policy frameworks, the
robustness of the financial sector, and strategies to uphold
macroeconomic equilibrium within the nation.
Patrick Loszewski, Executive Director of the IMF, representing the
interests of Kyrgyzstan within the Swiss voting group of the IMF,
was also in attendance at the meeting.
His involvement highlighted the significance of the discourse and
the nation's readiness for professional collaboration on the global
stage.
The initiative's efforts represented a significant milestone in
bolstering confidence and promoting collective economic goals.
