BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 2. Rising tensions between Iran, Israel, and the United States pose a serious threat to peace across a wide region, including the geography of the Organization of Turkish States (OTS), Vice President of the Republic of Türkiye Cevdet Yılmaz stated, Trend reports.

Speaking at a meeting of government heads and vice presidents of OTS member states in Baku, Yilmaz noted that ongoing global bottlenecks and systemic weaknesses leave many crises unresolved.

He emphasized that the process appears aimed at gradually destabilizing the region.

“The continuing conflict, particularly around the Hormuz Strait, poses serious risks to energy supply lines and global economic stability. Targeting critical infrastructure and energy facilities could drive both the region and the global economy toward irreversible disaster. Our expectation is for an immediate end to conflicts and a return to diplomacy,” Yilmaz stated.
