ASTANA, Kazakhstan, December 27. The implementation of the gas pipeline project with a capacity of 45 billion cubic meters from Russia to China via Kazakhstan has begun; calculations and technical-economic justification are underway, said Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak, Trend reports.
"The initiation of this procedure, shall we say, has been
activated. Currently, we are executing quantitative analyses and
conducting a thorough techno-economic validation while
simultaneously engaging in strategic negotiations. Novak
articulated in a discourse with the Russia 24 broadcasting entity
regarding the operationalization of the innovative gas conduit
initiative to China via Kazakhstan.
The throughput of the newly constructed gas pipeline is projected
to reach an impressive 45 billion cubic meters annually, with a
strategic allocation of 10 billion cubic meters earmarked for the
gasification initiatives in northeastern Kazakhstan," he added.
It is noteworthy that, previously, Novak indicated that the Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China are actively evaluating a novel gas transit corridor via Kazakhstan, projected to have a throughput capacity of 35 billion cubic meters. The progression of this corridor is currently in the preliminary phase, with potential transit through the eastern sector of Kazakhstan.
