BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 2. The total amount of money transferred abroad from Azerbaijan’s banks was 73.4 million manat ($43.1 million) from January through February 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the Central Bank of Azerbaijan indicates that this marks a decrease of 14 million manat ($8.2 million), or 16 percent, compared to the same period last year.
The report also highlighted that money transfers through fast remittance systems saw a notable reduction during this period, reflecting the overall decline in cross-border bank transfers.
Meanwhile, the volume of funds sent abroad from Azerbaijan’s banks was 87.4 million manat ($51.4 million) in January-February of 2024.
