BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 16. International cargo transportation by road in Azerbaijan amounted to $10 billion, totaling 4.7 million tons from January through September 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan indicates that this represents an increase of $805 million, or 8.7 percent, in value and 364,000 tons, or 8.5 percent, in volume compared to the same period last year.
Additionally, road freight exports from Azerbaijan during the reporting period reached $1.8 billion, totaling 2 million tons, marking a 20.7 percent increase in value and an 18 percent, or 305,000-ton, rise in volume year-on-year.
In the interim, the aggregate of road imports reached $8.2 billion and 2.7 million tons, reflecting an uptick of 6.4 percent in monetary value and a volumetric increase of 2.3 percent, equating to 61,000 tons, relative to the analogous timeframe of 2024.
